Jobs.gg / Jobs.je

We designed and developed the new brand and websites for jobs.gg and jobs.je. Highly optimised for engagement and SEO both have seen strong growth since launch. Alongside a playful and positive rebrand, we built an easy-to-use administration platform for jobseekers and recruiters built in the Laravel framework.

The new brand opens the door to allow for more expression around the logo by removing the box and opting for a more playful typographic approach.

The platform brings together varying content from companies, jobseekers and the Storyblok CMS in two websites which service Guernsey and Jersey.

Organic growth and machine data

Strong technical SEO is a vital component for job boards so we incorporated Schema.org metadata into every page. This allowed us to present vacancy details in a format specifically designed for search engines and AI. The impact has been strong. In Jersey, jobs.je, has moved from the bottom of page two to near the top of page one in Google results for key searches.

Regional brand colours - purple for Guernsey and blue for Jersey

Jobs exist in both the Channel Islands —Guernsey and Jersey. To differentiate between the two, distinct colour schemes were created within the brand guidelines.

A search is only as good as its content. The entire platform is designed to encourage users to enter well-structured content, with the search adapting to what is available.

Made for self-service

The website needed to work hard on its own, empowering both employers and job seekers to manage things effortlessly without constant support.

For companies, that meant a seamless way to publish vacancies, manage subscriptions, collaborate with their team, and track applications - all from one intuitive place. For job seekers, it meant full control over their CV, straightforward account management, and truly frictionless, one-click job applications.

To make this possible, we designed and built a bespoke admin system using Laravel and Filament. The result is a powerful, secure, and flexible backbone that not only meets today’s needs but is built to scale with the platform’s future growth.

The website creates branded social images and posts that are automatically scheduled on Facebook and LinkedIn. Combined with Rich Snippets, all vacancies can be read and understood by people, AI and search engines.
